Linux Costa Blanca (LCB) was launched in 2008 with the intention of providing clients with professional and affordable computer services. In an extremely overpriced market, we offer individually designed web sites at highly competitive prices. We can also help you to move away from costly and virus susceptible Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. Professional users were unhappy with having to upgrade licences, pay for antivirus, firewall, web, ftp, MySQL etc. servers as extras to an already costly to maintain system.

Personal users just wanted something stable and free from having to upgrade both software and hardware every few months or so. They simply wanted to check their e-mails, browse in Internet, write the odd formal letter or spreadsheet and download photos and messages from their mobile 'phone or camera. All your original computer content remains accessible of course.

Typical Windows 7 costs were in the region of €200 for the Home upgrade and €300 for the Business edition. Add to that another €100 if you wanted Office and several hundreds if not thousands more if you wanted to be any kind of server such as if you wanted to be your own web and mail provider.
